That’s My Horse???

Yes usually my subjects of choice are dogs, however i really wanted to give taking some images of horses ago. I had some visions in my head that just maybe i could do this. Now all you horse lovers (critiques) out there (my husband included), my vision didn’t include the traditional style of horse photography, although i did include some at the owners request. As in my kids and dog photography, my style is contemporary and modern, my aim is to make art you would be happy to hang on your walls. So some of these shots are not your conventional horse photography is what i’m getting at, open you mind and allow it to take in the beauty of this beast, Enjoy…
Once i have the owners permission that she wants to be famous, i will be happy to post a couple of the traditional style too:)

The Paws for Charity Fund!

As many of you know, i’m an avid lover of raising funds for needy causes and their are some people doing great work in our communities and around Australia for DOGS in NEED, that appreciate people like me to raise those funds for them, so they can spend more time doing what they do best.

It’s my way of helping, i am not emotionally strong enough to deal with what shelters and rescue workers etc see and deal with on a daily bases so this is my way of helping.

And what i do best is giving you a way to help too, in a fun and unique way (to be announced soon) in the meantime That’s My Dog! has set up a Paws For Charity Fund in which a percentage of everything we do goes into that fund.

That fund will then offer financial assistance to any properly licensed non profit companion animal group with a focus on rescuing and sheltering dogs in need.

Soon we will be announcing our secret fundraising project and you and your dog can be involved so stay tuned!

Watch this spot!

Where are you going? …:)

Ceas has a twin!

Today whilst out walking fatboy slim (aka Ceasar, Ceas) we met his twin, they are the same age and all, they are not brothers though as born in different states, it was so amazing!    the only difference was Ceasar’s head was a little bigger, his body a little rounder and poor old Ceas has had the chop!

And to make this story even more uncanny his twins name is Maximus! so we have Maximus and Ceasar, twin dogs living in the same area. Hopefully Maximus’s mum will bring him in for a photoshoot and i’ll get one of them together, i’ll have to get Ceas on the doggy treadmill to tone up …

Dog Songs by Kirk Olsen

I just love this CD by Kirk Olsen “Dog Songs” there’s 12 fun loving songs on the CD all about dogs. Kirk was so kind to let me use his music on my blog because I’m one of his biggest fans and also because he is just a really nice guy.

Do me a favor and get on over to Kirk’s website at www.dogsongs.net and purchase the CD for yourself, you can download it here and be enjoying his music in no time, make sure you watch the “Dog Beach Boogie” video too.

It might just give him the inspiration to get Dog Songs 2 released!  I’ve asked for a special request “I’m and Aussie Dog”

BragTails Name Change and Makeover

When i decided to photograph dogs over the holidays, it was for a bit of fun, to get some experience doing pet photography, fulfill a dream, and keep me entertained during the holidays

I’ve always been a huge dog lover from a very early age and wanted to do this for a long time,  however i didn’t know it would totally change my business, but it has. It’s hard to let go off Brag! but i know this is my calling.

I will still throw in the human subject every now and again, especially lil newborns, those cheeky toddlers and the dog lovers, but for the majority of my work it will now be for the love of dogs!  Ok and a few Alley Cats and other furry friends but not scaly friends (Note: furry not scaly)

So the new name and look is above, more coming soon and super exciting offers and promotions, BragTails is now officially That’s My Dog!

oh and for our Brag! lovers we have lots of exciting stuff happening for the future of Brag! also so stay tuned
